ブレスト・キャスト・アートとは、Keep A Breast の活動に賛同して頂いた方々の胸部を石膏で型取り、またアーティストの方々が、その石膏の胸型(キャスト)に自由にペイント又は デコレーションして完成される、「世界で一つのアート作品」で、Keep A Breastのメインアイコンです。
販売した収益は全て、Keep A Breast Japanの啓もう活動や運営費用として有効に活用されます。

アーティストプロフィール: Marcus Poston
マーカス・コンラッド・ポストンは、膝がちょっと擦れ
たどこかの店員の制服みたいな地味な上下のスー
ツ、襟には言われなければ気付かないコーヒーのシ
ミといった風貌の男である。塗料、木屑、タバコの灰
といったものが爪に残っている。彼はいわば、色々な
人々が通り過ぎたオブジェやイメージを彼の視点で
ランダムに組み合わせることに喜びを見出す、生涯
をかけた年代記編者である。
彼の作品には、日用品への情緒的な意味合いが感
じ取られる。一度彼の作品を手に取るとそれらの奥
深くに隠された秘密を垣間見ることになる。この感情
は、埃っぽい屋根裏や誰かの日記をこっそり見てしま
った時のドキドキする感じに似ていない事もない。後
ろめたい楽しみ、もちろん、誰かが隠したかったもの
に触れてしまう事でその人の事を知ってしまう、その
感覚なのである。それを快楽と呼ぶのだが。
彼は、自分をこの活動へと後押ししてくれた多くの
才能豊かなアーティスト達、思想家、強烈な個性に溢
れた人々とそのアドバイスに対し、毎日、感謝の気持
ちを忘れないようにしている。

Artist Bio: Marcus Poston
Marcus Conrad Poston is that guy in the thrift store suit with shiny knees and barely noticeable coffee stains on the lapels. He has paint, wood stain and cigarette ash under his fingernails. He is a lifelong chronicler of the world around him who enjoys bringing various objects and images together to the delight of random passers-by.
Marcus’ works address the all-too-human desire to attribute emotional significance to everyday items. One is often tempted to reach out and touch these items, to explore their depths and expose their secrets. The feeling is not dissimilar to the thrill of rooting through a dusty attic or reading a stolen diary. It is a guilty pleasure, to be sure, to learn about a person through the things they choose to hide away. But it is a pleasure just the same.
Marcus is overwhelmingly grateful for, and humbled by, the guidance of the numerous talented artists, thinkers and vibrant individuals who have helped him find his artistic path. He relies intensely upon their wisdom and generosity to inform his art and life each day.
